John Paul Perkins is the founder and registered broker for North Port Realty LLC. Originally from Arlington, Virginia, John got his Bachelor's Degree from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia in 1989 and moved to Florida in 1996. A Florida Resident for over 30 years, John has had his Real Estate Sales License for over 20 years and his Real Estate Brokers License for over 8 years.

John has been a member of many different boards and MLSs throughout the state of Florida. One thing that remains a constant in Real Estate is that things are always changing. He has been a member of the Palm Beach, Broward, Miami, Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Sarasota and now Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, North Port & DeSoto Boards of Realtors. Some of his most recent brokerage experiences include working for Adams Homes, Suncoast Realty Solutions (a subsidiary of Suncoast Credit Union) and REMAX Palm Realty.

John has volunteered for the Realtor Association of Sarasota & Manatee Counties as a member of their Grievance Committee, for the City of North Port as a member of their Economic Growth & Development Advisory Board and for North Port Cub Scout Pack 257 in multiple capacities. In this year's elections you may find John working at a polling center. John is married, has 4 children and loves spending time with his family as much as possible.

Having owned more than 10 homes in Florida and multiple properties, John has also closed more than 300 transactions for buyers and sellers throughout the state of Florida. His knowledge and experience are beyond the norm. He has the following certifications from the National Association of Realtors: At Home with Diversity, E-Pro, Pricing Strategy Advisor, Home Financial Resource and Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource. He has also been certified by Florida Housing in the course "What Every Realtor Should Know" which teaches about affordable housing in Florida and assistance programs that are available for buyers. Our dreams were made reality thanks to John ! As first time home buyers we were kind of lost and even had contracts fall through which felt like a roller coaster of devastation . Our bank suggested we work with John and reassured us he was one of their best . I can tell you right now , this guy knows what he’s doing!
